'Speak Your Truth' feather jewellery

In ancient Egypt, the ostrich feather was the symbol of Ma’at, goddess of truth, balance and justice. Soft, light and a little bit shaggy, it’s a reminder that our truth doesn’t have to be perfect to be something we’re proud of.

Speak Your Truth began with a hand drawing and a wish to raise two girls who are confident in their own truths. It’s a lesson we’re all still learning. Wear it as a reminder to hold your truth lightly, proudly and exactly as it is.

Feather jewellery inspired by truth, balance and justice

Speak Your Truth is a collection of meaningful feather jewellery, handmade by Hannah in solid recycled sterling silver and 9ct gold. It is inspired by Ma’at, the Egyptian goddess of truth, balance and justice, who is depicted with an ostrich feather in her hair. In ancient Egypt, that feather stood for lightness, righteousness and absolute truth.

Ostrich feathers are soft and symmetrical, with loose, unconnected barbs that give them a fluffy, shaggy texture. That shagginess is what inspired this collection. Our truth is light, and sometimes a little bit messy, and it is always something to be proud of.

Each piece began as one of Hannah’s hand drawings, which was then refined by Emily, an illustrator in Scotland and finished with our own stamp. The result is delicate feather charm jewellery that is personal, meaningful and made to be worn every day.
