How to choose a meaningful ring (and get the size right).

Short answer: decide what the ring needs to represent before you decide what it needs to look like - and if it's a gift, we can help with sizing, further down.

Choosing what it represents

Unlike a necklace, a ring tends to be touched constantly throughout the day - twisted, glanced at, held onto during a hard conversation. That makes the meaning behind it matter even more than usual. Our Phoenix, Sunrise, Erobre and Darling Heart collections are all available as rings, each carrying a different intention - courage, hope, strength, love - so it's worth choosing based on what you want to feel each time you catch sight of it on your hand.

Getting the sizing right

Whether you're buying for yourself or treating a loved one, there are a few different ways of finding your ring size.

Use a ring you/they already wear on that finger (even briefly) and measure the inside diameter.

Request a ring sizer, for all of our rings 'I don't know my ring size' is an option to select before you check out. Pay for the ring as usual. When we receive your order we will pop a complimentary ring sizer in the post to you. When you receive it, follow the instructions for use and send us a picture of it on your finger. Once we have your ring size, we make and send your ring.

Getting it slightly wrong isn't the end of the world - we're always happy to help with resizing queries, so don't let uncertainty put you off if the ring itself is right.

What to expect

Every ring is handcrafted to order in our York studio in recycled sterling silver or solid 9ct gold. Gold rings are handmade and hallmarked to order, so please allow around 4-5 weeks for delivery - worth planning ahead if it's for a specific date.
